1. About the site
ClientHintsGenerator.com (“the site”) is run by GASO Studio, an independent project of a private individual based in Italy (Abruzzo region). The site is free to use, requires no account and is funded by advertising. The Privacy & Cookie Notice explains how data is handled and forms part of these terms.
2. The service
The site provides a request-header generator, server configuration snippets, a response comparison script builder, a browser negotiation lab, a response header inspector and a documentation-based compatibility table. Features may change, be limited or be withdrawn at any time, temporarily or permanently, without notice. Some features depend on third-party infrastructure and on your browser’s support for Client Hints.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and in a way that does not harm it or others. In particular, you must not:
- use generated commands or scripts against systems you are not authorised to test;
- send automated or high-volume requests to the site or its
/api/endpoints, try to bypass rate limits or security measures, or interfere with the site’s operation; - use the site to distribute malware, collect other people’s data or support unlawful activity;
- generate, encourage or automate clicks or impressions on advertisements.
Requests that exceed reasonable limits may be blocked automatically.
4. Generated output and your responsibility
Headers, cURL commands, comparison scripts, server snippets (HTTP, Nginx, Apache, Permissions-Policy) and reports produced by the site are examples to help you test. They are not tailored to your infrastructure. Review them before you run or deploy them, test them in a safe environment and keep backups. You are solely responsible for running generated commands, for the targets you contact and for any changes you make to your systems. The browser fixtures are synthetic and do not reproduce real browsers, user-agent strings or TLS fingerprints.
5. Accuracy and no warranty
The compatibility table is a dated snapshot of MDN browser-compat-data and reflects documentation, not tests by this site. Browser behaviour, specifications and support change over time. The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or freedom from errors, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, revenue or business, service outages or security incidents arising from your use of the site, its output or its unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, and nothing affects the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
7. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text, code and graphics belong to the operator, unless stated otherwise. Compatibility data comes from MDN browser-compat-data under the CC0 1.0 licence (see the data licence). You may freely use, copy and adapt the headers, commands, snippets and reports you generate with the site, including for commercial projects. Your inputs remain yours; the site does not claim rights over them.
8. Third-party services and links
The site is hosted on Cloudflare and shows ads served by Google AdSense. It also links to external documentation, such as MDN, WICG and Android developer pages. These services and sites are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. The operator does not control them and is not responsible for their content or availability.
9. Advertising
Ads are selected and served by Google and its partners. They do not imply that the operator endorses the advertised products or services. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser. How advertising uses cookies, and the consent choices available in your region, are described in the Privacy & Cookie Notice.
10. Changes to these terms and to the site
These terms may be updated when the site or the law changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated terms. The operator may suspend or end the site, or restrict access for anyone who breaches these terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law allows. Otherwise, the courts competent under Italian law have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
12. Notices
Formal notices concerning these terms can be sent by post to the operator at the postal address given in section 8 of the Privacy & Cookie Notice. The site does not offer user support.
